A company called Key Ingredient has created a device for the kitchen that's somewhere between a souped-up kitchen calculator and a full-fledged e-book reader.
The new device is called the Demy, and it's known as a "digital recipe reader."
This gadget offers up a semi-ruggedized seven-inch display that's sealed against typical cooking-space splatters. The Demy can store up to 2,500 recipes and has three kitchen timers, a handy measurement calculator and a nifty ingredient substitution dictionary that'll provide advice in instances when the chef is short on an ingredient. There's a USB connection, so you can be sure you'll be hooking the Demy up to your PC.
